Future of London hosts a range of events, seminars and workshops throughout the year for our members, culminating in our annual Conference, due to be held in November 2010.
Future of London Conference 2010
We will soon be updating the site with full details of our 2010 Conference, including how you can register for the event, which is to be held at Wembley Stadium in November. The Single Conversation Breakfast Seminar Series
The next Single Conversation Breakfast Seminar will be held on Tuesday 27 July, and will look specifically at the range of delivery options currently available to progress investment and regeneration, given the current fiscal environment. More information on this event can be found here. To secure your place at the event on Tuesday 27 July, please contact Natalia Raha (natalia.raha@islington.gov.uk). Places are limited to 3 per London Borough. Further breakfast seminars are scheduled to take place on: 7 September and 19 October.
Major Site Visits
The next Major Site Visit is planned for 29th July, and will focus on the Kidbrooke Development Area and the Greenwich Peninsula. The Kidbrooke Development Area aims to provide a sustainable neighbourhood with up to 4,800 new homes of mixed sizes/tenures. The new housing will enjoy facilities which encourage the development of a living, learning, interactive community.
Over £5 billion will be invested in the Greenwich Peninsula over the next 20 years, redeveloping it in line with the Sustainable Communities Plan. The site will deliver over 13,000 new homes 35% affordable new schools, health and community facilities, employment space, retail space, a major leisure and entertainment district in the 02.
