Membership

Future of London is dedicated to developing solutions to the practical regeneration challenges facing regeneration, housing and economic development professionals across London. Building stronger relationships with partners from across the sector will be critical to the successful delivery of development going forward. Future of London is the forum for you to do this. We have more members than ever signed up to our programme, and have halved our membership fee for our 2011/12 membership year to £4,950 for London Boroughs and registered providers.

Future of London Membership in 2011/12

Future of London has an exciting programme of activity for 2011/12 that your London Borough can be part of through signing up for Future of London membership. With a strong network of senior practitioners at our heart, we will be delivering events, research and policy analysis on the affordable housing challenge facing London, as well as the implications for economic development of the emerging Green Deal and Localism agendas. We’ll be visiting major development schemes across London, including the Olympic Park and the redevelopment of Kings Cross, to learn from the progress of regeneration on the ground.

  • The allocation of a senior mentor working in regeneration or economic development in London to provide coaching and advice throughout;
  • A programme of training and networking events and workshops with peers, and sector and industry experts;

  • Free access to all Future of London sessions and partner networking events

3) Access to cutting edge policy analysis and research on the big challenges facing London’s regeneration and economic development sector

Throughout 2011 we’ll be producing informative and relevant policy briefings, research and analysis across a range of themes, including affordable housing policy, the Green Deal and the Localism Agenda. In this context, membership will provide you with:

  • Free access to all research and policy outputs, including briefing papers, and major policy reports, including free hard copies of all of our publications;
  • Free access to all private policy and research roundtable events, and opportunities to contribute to policy analysis through other workshops and interviews, to ensure that your Borough’s voice is heard; and,
  • The opportunity to shape our research agenda, through participation in our senior Steering Group

We are the only organisation that can offer such a broad range of services and opportunities to London Boroughs, and unlike other national organisations, we’re squarely focussed on the needs and challenges faced by London practitioners.

Membership terms and conditions

The current Future of London Membership year runs from September 2011 to September 2012. Reflecting the difficult economic circumstances that we all face, Future of London is offering a membership rate of £4,950 for London Boroughs and registered providers. This fee is required to cover the organisations running costs, and represents fantastic value for money when the extensive list of benefits outlined above are considered over a 12 month period. Please note that unlike in previous years, access to the full programme of Future of London events will only be available to full members, so your organisation will need to be registered to participate.

Become a Strategic Partner of Future of London

Future of London would like to work with private sector strategic partners to help develop its programmes, events and seminars for 2012 and beyond. As a key partner you will have the opportunity to be part of a core community of organisations that contribute to London’s future, discussing it and engaging with the key influencers in London, from public sector local authorities to central government organisations, and private sector developers, consultancies, house builders, and research organisations. You’ll get year round contact, enabling you to build relationships and impart your specialist knowledge.

In 2011 we have worked with our strategic partners to develop packages providing value for them. We have developed programmes of specialist discussions with them, giving them the possibility for ‘thought leadership’ in their field of expertise, and putting them in front of a relevant regeneration audience in London.

We can do the same for you in 2012.

For further details on how to become a strategic partner of Future of London please contact our Director, Ben Harrison.
