Major Projects Delivery Group

Future of London’s Major Projects Delivery Group brings together senior practitioners from across the Capital to share knowledge and best practice, and develop new ways to navigate the shifting development and policy context. In 2012 we will be focussing on major housing-led regeneration projects across inner and outer London.

The Major Projects Delivery Group consists of following practioners:

Grahame Park, London Borough of Barnet

The Grahame Park regeneration scheme will deliver 3,000 new homes by 2026, replacing 1,314 that will be demolished. The programme includes major infrastructure improvements, improved transport links, and new community facilities and forms part of the wider developments plans for Colindale.

Kidbrooke Regeneration Project, London Borough of Greenwich

This major redevelopment will deliver an increase of up to 4,000 homes of mixed tenure, in an attempt to reverse negative socio-economic indicators that have stigmatised the residents of the Ferrier Estate. The £1 billion project is made up of 5 phases to be completed over 15-20 years. In addition to the new homes, the project will deliver new commercial space, public open space and social infrastructure,

Woodberry Down, London Borough of Hackney
6th July 2012
Woodberry Down is a 24-hectare post-war housing estate located on the north-west edge of the London Borough of Hackney. The regeneration scheme will see the current 1,980 homes on the estate demolished and 4,644 new homes constructed in their place. The development will be phased, with an estimated completion of 2030.

Blackwall Reach Regeneration project, London Borough of Tower Hamlets

The Blackwall Reach Regeneration project proposal is for approximately 8.38 hectares of mainly publicly owned brown field land in Tower Hamlets focused on the general Blackwall Reach area and in particular the highly deprived Robin Hood Gardens Estate (RHG).

Elephant and Castle Regeneration project, London Borough of Southwark
16th November 2012
The regeneration of Elephant and Case is a £1.5bn, 55 acre Elephant and Castle programme to will create a new exciting destination in the London Borough of Southwark over the next 15 years. It will include the creation of 5,000 new and replacement homes, new pedestrianised town centre, market square, up to 450,000 square feet of retail space, an integrated public transport hub and five green spaces.
