What we do
Supporting practitioners to create great places.
Future of London is about creating a space for London’s regeneration community to network, share knowledge, develop skills and be stimulated by fresh, innovative ideas and thinking.
Throughout 2010 we are delivering a series of work programmes, events and seminars, including:
- A Rising Stars Programme designed to identify and nurture the career development of our most promising staff. The 12 month programme began in April 2010, with the aim of bringing together a selected group of individuals with potential for progression, and offering them unique training, development and mentoring opportunities. More detail on the programme can be found here
- The Single Conversation Breakfast Seminar Series, a programme of high level seminars aimed at those across London who are responsible for engaging in the Single Conversation, and leading the development of investment plans in their Borough. With senior HCA involvement and expert contributions, these seminars provide a space to debate, share knowledge and examine key investment and delivery issues. More detail on the programme can be found here
- The Future of London E-Bulletin, featuring cutting edge analysis from urban regeneration specialists examining residential and mixed use regeneration, economic development, and planning and infrastructure issues, together with the latest policy news courtesy of the Future of London Policy Tracker. The Policy-tracker provides an overview and insight into policy developments of relevance to the Future of London’s major projects, local and regional government and agencies across London and to regeneration professionals, stakeholders and the wider industry across London. The latest Future of London E-Bulletin can be found here
- A Programme of Major Site Visits, exploring some of London’s major urban regeneration schemes on the ground, including Elephant & Castle, the Greenwich Peninsula, the Kilburn Estate in Brent, and the redevelopment of Canning Town. Spaces are limited, and will be allocated on a first come basis. More detail on the programme can be found here
