London 2062 Comment: Housing, Inequality and the Future of a Property-Owning Democracy

In March and April 2012, Future of London partnered with UCL on a series of seminars entitled London 2062. The aim of the series was to bring the academic and practitioner communities together to discuss how their work could have a positive influence on London’s longer-term future.

Here, Michelle Hegarty, one of the current Future London Leaders candidates, considers the dwindling numbers of owner-occupiers in London, and the effect this has on the city.
