Engaging London’s private rented sector – research in 2015

Islington housing

Thanks to significant grant support from Oak Foundation and Trust for London, we’re getting underway with a major research programme on London’s private rented sector. Over the next three years, we’ll be investigating a number of approaches to addressing the sector’s complex challenges, in order to disseminate learning and best practice across London boroughs, housing associations, the GLA and the wider industry.

In 2015, we will be looking at the benefits and practicalities of landlord licensing schemes and borough lettings agencies, as well as using some of the data gathered for December’s publication Engaging Private Landlords in Energy Efficiency to create an online information resource. We’ll update regularly on the programme’s development. In the meantime, get in touch with Jo Wilson if you’d like to be involved.
