Smart Cities are a hot topic, with great potential to address intractable urban problems through innovation – and with all hype and uncertainty that come with new areas of endeavour. Getting started with smart-city technologies and systems can seem overwhelming, but there are good reasons to engage.

Join us as we continue our Smarter Cities programme, supported by Arup, GVA and Lewis Silkin, with a look at smarter housing. Cross-sector practitioners from across London will share motivations, caveats and successes, and we’ll follow that with a workshop where you can share your experiences and learn from peers.

Date: Wednesday, 7th February, 8.30-10.30am

Venue: Offices of GVA, 65 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7NQ

Speaking at this event will be:

  • Tom Harrison, Digital Transformation Manager, LB Hackney
  • Rupert Parker, Head of Futureproofing, GVA
  • Jay Saggar, Launchpad Coordinator, HACT
  • Kavita Tailor, Innovation Officer, HACT

Topics will include changes in the housing sector to reflect new, tech-enabled lifestyles; using data science to inform housing stock management; and working with tech companies to develop products that are relevant to London’s housing operators and developers.

The event is now full but you can join the reserve list here.
