About us

Future of London helps to build thriving cities through knowledge, networks and leadership

To develop thriving cities, we need to work across professions and borough boundaries. Future of London creates networking opportunities through workshops, field trips, roundtables and our annual conference.

We connect over 5000 urban practitioners so they can tap into practical solutions and new ideas. Our unique network directs their passion for social, environmental and economic sustainability at the major challenges facing cities.

Leaders need vision, skills and connections to tackle big problems from affordable housing to net zero. We help current and future leaders develop the confidence, skills, and cross-sector networks they need to succeed.

Our knowledge-sharing events and practice-based research provide actionable insights. We equip our network of urban practitioners with ideas, contacts and evidence so they can deliver major projects that help places thrive.

There are now more than 700 Future of London alumni who are part of an influential leadership network that is widely respected in the sector.

The built environment sector has a diversity problem. We help employers nurture talent that reflects the diversity of London, and we help people from under-represented groups raise their profile in the sector.

We are developing a more inclusive sector through practical interventions such as the Emerging Talent Programme and the Speaker Diversity Network.

Future of London is a not-for-profit company with 60 member organisations that shape our work. They include local and regional authorities, housing associations, and SMEs. private sector partners are leaders in the built environment sector.
