Lisa Taylor
Executive Director, Future of London / Future of GM

With an extensive background in project management, comms and stakeholder relations, Lisa focuses on strategy, programme design and connection. Through Future of London, Future of Greater Manchester and her own company, Coherent Cities, she is a sought-after chair, speaker and cross-sector strategist, and is a certified facilitator and coach.

From 2013-2019, Lisa was CEO of Future of London, quadrupling membership, revenue and team size, diversifying the board and driving continuous programme improvement. She led governance, partnerships and strategic projects, launched Leaders Plus and the Speaker Diversity Network, and guided a healthy 2-year leadership transition. She also sat on the advisory board of Public Practice, a secondment hub now active across the UK.

With support from London and Manchester champions, Lisa launched GM Leaders Plus in 2020 and set up Future of Greater Manchester as a distinct sister organisation in 2022. She’s working with Programme Lead Judi Greenwood to expand the offer for mid-level leaders, alumni and under-represented groups – and will hand over in 2024/25.

In a previous life, Lisa worked at director level for companies and non-profits in Canada, the US, England and Germany, delivering complex projects, government negotiations and community relations around the world. Projects ranged from multi-million-pound worldwide expeditions and award-winning TV shows through intercultural training for German engineers and engaging Utah ranchers in environmental education. Clients included the Canadian government, CBS TV, CP Rail, Land Rover and Leo Burnett.

One of The Planner magazine’s Women of Influence, Lisa has an MSc (Dist) in Sustainable Urbanism from UCL and a BA (Hons) in Journalism from Carleton University in Canada.
