Head of Knowledge
Amanda joined Future of London in February 2016, and has since been promoted to Research & Programme Manager and, as of February 2018, Head of Knowledge. She now coordinates and contributes to Future of London’s best-practice and research projects. Notable projects include Workspace that Works, Making the Case for Place, Overcoming London’s Barriers, and FoL’s major 2019 project, Water Works. She has also contributed to programmes on transport and smarter planning.
She has a diverse professional background, having worked as an urban designer, which involved developing and overseeing public realm improvement schemes throughout central London, and as a transport planner, implementing sustainable travel strategies throughout the Southeast and West Midlands. She also spent five years working in social media in roles that included analysing, executing, and advising on social media strategies.
Amanda has an MSc Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Birmingham and a BA History from the University of Calgary.
