Future of London helps build better cities through knowledge, networks and leadership – across disciplines, organisations and sectors. We are the capital’s independent network for regeneration, housing, infrastructure and economic development practitioners, with nearly 4,000 professionals using FoL as a hub for sector intelligence, connection and professional development, and a mandate to prepare the next wave of cross-sector city leaders. We’re always looking for talented individuals with a passion for London and an appetite to grow with our exceptional team and network.
Below are all our current vacancies and how to apply.
Head of Leadership
Permanent, 3-month probation
Salary commensurate with experience
Closing date: 10 January 2019
This is fantastic opportunity to join our small, diverse and fast-moving team in a critical role that will shape city leadership now and for future generations, and help develop and nurture people who can deliver viable and more equitable places.
You will guide the quality and growth of London’s most sought-after urban professional development courses: Future London Leaders and Leaders Plus. You will also take forward our Council-Led Housing Forum, establishing it as the trusted forum for boroughs and partners to share knowledge and experience; as such, you’ll have a real impact on the capital’s ability to deliver housing, especially affordable housing. You’ll explore and market-test new course options, working with the team, members and associates, and to support all of this, you’ll also work closely with the CEO and Head of Networks on business development, identifying potential partners, drafting proposals and joining pitches.
The ideal candidate will be as passionate about cities as we are, be entrepreneurial in his/her approach, and want to actively help cross-sector practitioners deliver a more liveable London. You will have a strong track record in programme management, preferably within professional development; will have a diverse and effective network in the London public and/or private sector; and be an excellent communicator, specifically in public speaking and in written content such as project briefs, bids and online content.
Future of London is committed to pursuing equality of opportunity and we actively welcome applications from candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds.
We have no other vacancies at the moment, but are always on the look-out for talented people. Email us with your CV and cover letter explaining how you can help us build better cities through knowledge, networks and leadership.
