Head of Leadership Development
Permanent, 3-month probation
Three days/week
Salary commensurate with experience

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our small, diverse and fast-moving team in a senior-level role that will shape city leadership now and for future generations and help develop and nurture people who can deliver viable and more equitable places.

You will guide the quality and growth of London’s most sought-after urban professional development courses: Future London Leaders and Leaders Plus. You’ll manage our unique cross-sector senior Mentor Network and the wider FoL family of members and sponsors.

You will explore and market test new course options, working with the team, members and associates and, to support all of this, you’ll also work closely with the CEO and Head of Networks on business development, identifying potential partners, drafting proposals and joining pitches.

The ideal candidate will be as passionate about leadership and professional development as we are, be entrepreneurial in his/her approach, and want to actively help cross-sector practitioners deliver a more liveable London.

You will have a strong track record in programme and professional and/or organisational development, and in building a diverse and effective professional network. You will be an excellent communicator, specifically in public speaking and in written content such as project briefs, bids and online content.

Events Intern
Temporary, eight-week term (September to November)
Three days/week
Rate £100 per day

FoL delivers a wide variety of events responding to London’s key challenges and priorities. These include seminars, workshops, conferences and site visits across London, engaging with hundreds of people from different disciplines and career levels in FoL’s cross-sector network.

FoL is seeking an Events Intern to join the team during one of its busiest periods. As an Events Intern you will be responsible for providing support at these events (including prep and follow-up) and working closely with the FoL team and associates.

Working with the Head of Networks, you will also assist in maintaining and updating FoL’s customer relationship management system and website, and other administrative duties to support the team.

You will love organising successful events and have a keen eye for detail, thrive in a small, busy team and enjoy meeting people from administrators to CEOs and are known for your diplomacy and professionalism.
