Our next CiT field trip will be to Poplar on 24th September, looking at how local markets can support regeneration and how empty spaces can be put back into use.
On 16 June, Future of London’s field trip series continued in Croydon town centre, where we heard about integrating large-scale retail development with local regeneration plans.
Future of London’s next Communities in Transition field trip will be to Barking on 22nd July, looking at public space and new housing developments around Barking town centre.
On 28th May, Future of London visited Whitechapel as part of our Communities in Transition field trip series, to hear about the impact of the life sciences sector in the area.
Our next Communities in Transition field trip will be to Croydon town centre on 16th June, to look at the impact of large-scale retail development on local regeneration plans, and how to integrate support for local businesses.
Our second Communities in Transition field trip of 2015 will be to Whitechapel on 28th May, to see how the healthcare and life sciences sector is driving development in the area and the wider relevance for London.
Our Communities in Transition visits kick off again on 15th April with a trip to Wembley to explore the impact of the stadium on the regeneration of the area.
In spring 2015, our Communities in Transition field trips will resume under a new theme for the year: anchor regeneration.
On 8th October, Future of London visited Colindale in LB Barnet, to hear about the council’s new Open Space Strategy and progress on the Grahame Park estate.
Our next Communities in Transition field trip will take visitors on a walking tour of Colindale’s new developments, including the Grahame Park estate renewal programme and Barnet’s new Open Space Strategy.
On August 20th, Future of London visited Vauxhall, Nine Elms and Battersea, one of the largest Opportunity Areas in the London Plan.
