Council-Led Housing Forum – Community Engagement

Registration is closed for this event

Back by popular demand, we are running a session for heads of service, team leaders and development managers working in housing, regeneration and development, on the role of community engagement in shaping council-led development.

Building upon last year's 'Winning resident support' event, this session will offer an opportunity to hear from experienced individuals about engaging with communities on development, and will explore the critical issues you need to consider in order to plan for effective engagement and consultation. This includes exploring the issue of virtual consultation and other ways of engaging with a wide spectrum of people whilst adhering to social distancing. This session will offer delegates:

  • Best practice guidance on the process of engaging with communities

  • Insight from different boroughs, including lessons learned; participants are encouraged to share what hasn’t worked as well as their successes

  • A workshop involving small group discussions on a new framework for assessing consultation

  • The opportunity for cross-borough working and networking

The expert presentation section of the event will be available on the Future of London YouTube channel, whereas the case study and workshop material will only be available to participants. Please note this event has a maximum of 30 spaces - please register early to avoid disappointment. Registration closes on Friday 18 Sep, 5pm, in order for us to allocate workshop groups.
