City Makers’ Forum: London’s Green Recovery

Registration is closed for this event

Covid-19 and the lockdown has sent the UK economy into a nosedive. It's still unclear what shape the recovery will be - but there is growing ambition for its colour to be green.

While the pandemic has laid bare economic fragility and deep-seated inequalities it has also given us an opportunity to imagine a different world that is more resilient to future shocks, including the climate crisis which remains a hugely pressing issue.

To ensure that we capitalise on this opportunity London's stakeholders must pull together to leverage public support and political will, in order to deliver a green recovery that is fair and equitable for all.

In this interactive session, linked to FoL's Achieving Net Zero and Learning From Crisis programmes, cross-sector speakers working at the frontline of London's crisis response will discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead for London's green recovery.

This is an interactice session kicking off with presentations from invited guest speakers and a panel discussion, followed by a chance to connect with fellow participants in an online networking session.
