Future of London's first boat trip explores the movement of people and goods along the Thames and its riverside opportunity areas and major developments.
A round trip, starting and ending at Tower Pier, takes us to the Port of Tilbury, London's principal container port which handles 20m tonnes of freight per year.
The tour will also cover opportunities and challenges for pier and river capacity, building/managing piers, working with partners/stakeholders and improving river access.
We'll hear from:
James Trimmer, Director of Planning & Environment, Port of London Authority
Alison Hall, Commercial & Marketing Manager, Port of Tilbury
Sean Collins, Co-Founder, Thames Clippers
Alina Tuerk, Delivery Planning Manager, Transport for London
And a speaker from Barking Riverside
The boat trip will include time for Q&A/discussion and a light lunch.
This event is free to attend thanks to support from supporters Arup, Avison Young, Pollard Thomas Edwards, and the Port of London Authority, as well as event co-sponsor Port of Tilbury, but places are limited and registration is essential.
