The high street is back, but not as we knew it. As the lockdown eases, people are slowly returning but under strict social distancing measures. The challenges that already faced the retail sector have only been exacerbated by the pandemic and a joined-up approach with councils, landlords, businesses and communities working together is needed to reverse the decline and reinvent our high streets for the post-Covid world. But this is also a prime opportunity to think differently and incorporate new ideas and innovative uses for the high street.
The Communities of Practice Forum series are peer-led discussions in a friendly and informal environment for voicing common challenges and sharing new ideas on critical issues facing alumni during the Covid crisis and beyond, linked to FoL's Learning From Crisis programme. Chaired by alumni, they'll tackle different topics each time with an invited guest speaker.
When: Wed 8 July, 4-5 pm
Alumni will chair the discussion with a short presentation from guest speaker Andy Donald, CEO, LB Redbridge providing insight on the current challenges and future outlook. There will also be ample time for questions and debate.
