Join our Speaker Showcase to develop your presentation skills and find new public speaking opportunities.
At our public speaking workshop, participants will deliver a three-minute, three-slide talk on a topic of their choice. You will receive live, constructive feedback on your presentation from experienced public speaker mentors.
The Speaker Showcase is linked to our Speaker Diversity Bank, which helps people from under-represented groups raise their profile and helps event organiser create more diverse panels.
Our aim is to increase the skills and confidence of people from these groups, so that built environment events can be more representative of the communities we’re building and designing for.
This workshop is a peer-led ‘safe space’ and a great way for up-and-coming speakers to hone their craft in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Once participants have completed the showcase, they may be invited to join our Speaker Bank.
“It is amazing to see how engaged everyone is and the atmosphere was relaxing, welcoming and inclusive in a very natural way,” said one participant at our last event.
