How can large-scale regeneration create healthier, happier urban neighbourhoods? Join us at Beam Park, an ambitious development delivering 4,000 new homes in Dagenham, to find out.

When: Tuesday 1 July, 2:30pm – 4:30pm
Where: Beam Park, RM13

The final field trip in our Happy London programme will visit the Beam Park development, led by Countryside Partnerships and L&Q, to explore methods and strategies for supporting community wellbeing in large-scale developments.

Participants will hear from delivery partners L&Q, Countryside Partnerships, and charity stakeholders.

Speakers will discuss how Beam Park is creating context-sensitive, walkable neighbourhoods through community programming, affordable housing, and the transformation of the iconic Ford factory site.

Our Happy London research and events series asks how the built environment supports urban wellbeing, with a focus on the experiences of minoritised communities.

Please note: registration is compulsory for this event.

Thanks to Countryside Partnerships, Potter Raper, and Queen Mary University of London for sponsoring the Happy London programme.
