How should we harness the experience economy to boost London’s growth? Join our next City Makers' Forum to find out more about how this fast-growing sector is shaping our city.

London’s recently published Growth Plan highlights the experience economy as one of the city’s key pillars for long-term, sustainable growth.

With consumers spending more on live entertainment, culture, and immersive activities — and with experiences driving footfall, jobs, and innovation — London's future prosperity will depend in part on how well we nurture and expand this sector.

But there are challenges too: the rising cost of living, lasting impacts from the pandemic, and ensuring that experiences remain accessible, inclusive, and connected to local identity.

Our next City Makers’ Forum, in partnership with Hatch, brings together early and mid-career professionals from across disciplines to ask::

  • How can we unlock wider growth and stimulate innovation through the experience economy in London?

  • Who is the experience economy for — and how do we ensure it benefits all Londoners?

  • How can experiences strengthen London's standing as a world-leading global city?

  • What does the rise of the experience economy mean for culture, placemaking, and community identity?

Our expert panel will explore how experiences can go beyond entertainment to power placemaking, support local economies, and reflect the diverse communities that make London unique.

Thanks to Hatch for partnering with us on the City Makers' Forum.
