This event is now full but there will be a write-up of the field trip on our website at the end of the month.
Join us on our field trip to LB Waltham Forest on 19 May, 2pm until 5pm, as part of our Affordable housing: overcoming crisis through collaboration programme.
This is a great opportunity to hear first-hand how project teams are navigating the complex challenges faced by the housing sector. The visit will be of interest to anyone involved in the delivery of affordable housing and those working on the retrofit of residential properties.
To unpick the challenges facing existing housing stock, we’ll visit LB Waltham Forest’s Eco Home, a Victorian terraced house which has been retrofitted and opened up as a show home to encourage homeowners to make their homes warmer and more energy efficient.
To understand the affordable housing challenge from a regeneration perspective, we’ll visit the former Marlowe Road Estate where the Council’s development partner Countryside will share how they are collaborating on issues including climate change, new building regulations, Brexit and the fall-out from Covid.
When: Thursday 19 May 2022, 2pm to 5pm
Where: LB Waltham Forest (meeting point details to follow)
