Council-Led Housing Network
Expert panel supports council housing development
The council housing expert panel provides access to design, delivery, and legal experts to support London borough housing teams.
The Council-led Housing Network (CLHN) provides London local authorities with support for their development teams. It provides peer-to-peer support, good practice-sharing, and access to expert knowledge.
What does the expert panel offer?
The expert panel offers all London boroughs the opportunity to discuss general development issues directly with consultants working in the built environment sector,
With many councils now delivering major home building programmes, the expert panel has been designed to help enable a range of ideas and options to be considered so boroughs can resolve their development challenges.
Who are the experts?
The panel is made up of a range of consultants who have a track record in supporting council-led housing delivery.
The expert panel will cover a variety of built environment disciplines and further details on the consultancies providing expertise can be accessed below.

How it works
The expert panel works on a simple question-and-answer basis.
- London boroughs can ask questions about development issues through Future of London.
- We pass questions on to the most relevant panel member(s) to respond.
Panel members will provide general guidance either through a one-to-one phone call, or a roundtable if the question or issue has been raised by multiple boroughs.
How to register for the Council-Led Housing Network expert panel
The expert panel is open exclusively to London local authorities.
