Carolina is an Urban Designer and Architect qualified in her native Brazil and holds an MSc (Hons) degree in Urbanism from the Delft University of Technology. As Associate Director at PRD, Carolina is the sustainability lead and brings a strong focus on net zero and circular economy to our projects, looking at how these principles can leverage social and economic co-benefits. She led the work to develop a robust strategic and economic case for investment in the Green Economy in the South of Newham and an approach to support circular economy businesses in Hackney Central. She also led an inclusive economy approach for LLDC and the Growth Boroughs and a waste needs assessment in Hackney Wick to advise the CDT Hackney Wick & Fish Island on the creation of a circular economy hub. Carolina is also a Director of the London Doughnut Economy Coalition (LDEC).
