Joely is currently an Associate Transport Planner at WSP with over 12 years of experience across both private and public sectors. Her career began in consultancy, where she developed expertise in development planning, junction modelling, and managing transport assessments for planning applications. She later joined the London Borough of Bexley, reviewing major planning applications and leading regeneration projects such as the Lesnes Estate, securing significant funding for sustainable transport initiatives.

Before joining WSP, Joely worked at Transport for London, where she led on planning applications, Section 106 negotiations, and acted as the main TRICS liaison. She represented TfL at industry events, contributed to policy development, and served as lead officer for strategic growth areas including Old Oak and Park Royal. Joely is passionate about inclusive planning; she previously chaired the Women’s Safety Focus Group and helped shape updated guidance to improve safety and accessibility.

Joely now focuses on development planning at WSP, bringing a collaborative approach and helps to shape sustainable, well-connected communities. Her work spans strategic modelling, operations, and policy, with a commitment to delivering diverse developments. She also serves on the Board of the Transport Planning Society and has spoken at four major transport planning events, sharing insights on policy integration, inclusive design and sustainable growth.
