Mahbub has extensive housing experience having worked in local authorities such as London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH), London Borough of Newham (LBN) and London Borough of Enfield (LBE). Currently he is working as a Project Director at London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF) which has delivery targets of 27,000 homes over 10 years. He is responsible for Avenue Road estate regeneration c£300m and c600 homes.

In addition to that he sits on DLUHC’s (Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities) Social Housing Quality Resident Panel and LBTH’s Housing and Regeneration Scrutiny Committee. Previously he was a board member for Tower Hamlet Homes which was the Council’s ALMO, managing a stock of 22,000 properties. He also has 3 masters including the MBA.
