Research and networks for effective change

Through research and networks, we give you the latest industry insight and the evidence you need to make confident decisions. Find out how we do it.

Research and evidence

When your team approaches a big decision, do you have the insight to make the right call? And can you provide strong evidence to build the case for change with your stakeholders?

Commissioning research that provides actionable insights can widen your perspective and bring people on board. We enable teams to tap into our intelligence from the built environment sector, so they make informed business decisions.

You will gain confidence that you’re using resources for maximum impact.

Practical evidence and insights

A London borough asked us to help improve their support for tenants in the private rented sector (PRS). We conducted in-depth research into tenant’s lives to inform an action plan for the council to support PRS tenants beyond their immediate housing needs.

When the Connected Places Catapult wanted to highlight innovation in reducing carbon in cities, they commissioned us to find trailblazing examples of best practice. Our case studies were designed to inspire change with real-world examples of integrated planning for net zero.

Networks and inspiration

Are you working with the right stakeholders to make your scheme effective? And are your ideas informed by the latest industry insights?

Responding to complex urban challenges requires creativity and collaboration. Through events and networking, we bring people together and create a safe space to be honest about challenges.

We break down sector barriers, create connections and highlight best practice. By helping you create collaborative solutions to shared problems, your team will broaden their professional network.

Developing connections and inspiring best practice

We convene a regular network on behalf of a group of local authority housing companies to strengthen connections between these organisations with unique challenges.

For Impact on Urban Health, we devised and now manage a network of health and housing . The group turns talk into action, getting initiatives between health and housing colleagues off the ground.

In partnership with Hatch, we facilitate the City Makers’ Forum for the next wave of leaders in London to confront the big urban issues, whilst developing their professional network.

How we can help

By drawing on our extensive network, Future of London can develop and run networks and events to find joint solutions. Through our connections we can organise field trips to learn from some of the capital’s most innovative projects.
