Future of London and Future of Greater Manchester offer leadership development for urban professionals, exclusive to our public sector and SME members, core sponsors and invited third sector organisations. There are now over 700 alumni of our leadership programmes.

Future London Leaders
Future London Leaders is designed for those about to manage a team, or who have started to lead but would like some support. The six-month course includes leadership skills modules; field trips and case studies; an ethics seminar based on a cohort theme; and a personally matched mentor. Candidates graduate after presenting their ‘Proposal for London’ to an invited audience. Read more here.
London Leaders Plus
Leaders Plus is our next-level course focused on advanced leadership development for people navigating increased risk and responsibility. The nine-month course includes leadership skills modules; expert insights sessions with cross-sector leaders; candidate-led field trips and mentoring from the UK’s top urban practitioners. To graduate, candidates present a ‘Proposal for London’ to a select group of champions and challengers. Read more here.
GM Leaders Plus
Launched in 2020, this senior leadership course is designed for cross-sector practitioners on their way to senior roles. The 9-month course is a game-changer for connection and insight, and the growing GM Leaders Plus alumni cohort is already making and influencing better places and policies across the city region. GM Future Leaders
The six-month full course including online and in-person workshops, field trips, mentoring and a course assignment will launch in 2024. To introduce topics and facilitators, we’re running a pilot series in 2023. Read more here
Emerging Talent Programme
The Emerging Talent Programme is a two-year course with cross-sector placements designed to reach out to under-represented groups; offer an inclusive entry point into the housing and regeneration sectors; and fast-track a new, diverse generation of leaders. Read more here.
